Kirovets is the brand of the Kirov Plant (Kirovsky Zavod) in St Petersburg, which has built articulated four-wheel-drive tractors since the early 1960s and thereby supplied Soviet and later Russian agriculture with big tractors for expansive fields. The type number grew over the decades with each new generation from the K-700 through the K-701 and K-744 to the four-digit K-9000 range; older models ran on Soviet YaMZ engines, newer generations also on engines from Mercedes-Benz (OM457LA) and Cummins.

Kirovets tractors were and are the big tractors of Russian and Ukrainian agriculture for steppe and large-scale operations; their articulated steering and four-wheel drive made them the Soviet counterpart to western big tractors such as Versatile or Case Steiger.
