On a used semi-trailer, the condition of the frame and cross members, the braking system and air-suspension bellows, wear on the kingpin and landing legs, the tyres and lighting system, and on the older D and E versions the periodic-inspection history all count; parts run through the usual trailer suppliers such as BPW and SAF. The 2-inch kingpin is the common standard on these semi-trailers; whether a single axle or a tandem axle carries the load depends on the particular version and its payload step.
