The 6R range is John Deere's mid-range tractor line for Europe, built since 2011 at the Mannheim plant, the largest tractor factory outside North America. The type designation follows the Deere logic used since 1992: the first digit names the range (6 for the mid class), the following digits the power level – 6R 120 for around 120 hp, 6R 230 for the strongest version. The smaller models run the four-cylinder PowerTech engine of 4.5 litres, the larger ones the six-cylinder of 6.8 litres.
