One thing stays important with any telehandler: rated capacity applies to a specific load centre and to the boom retracted. The further the boom extends, the less may hang from it. What a machine may actually lift in a given position is in the load chart — not in the type designation.
On larger JCB Loadall models with greater lift height, extending stabiliser legs are also fitted, widening the support base so that the load-chart figures for supported operation become valid in the first place; a frame-levelling system also corrects cross-slope in the ground by a few degrees, keeping the boom vertical even on slightly uneven terrain.
