Humbaur was founded in 1957 by Anton Humbaur in Donauwörth as a sales agency for agricultural machinery, trailers, ploughs and grain mills; the company moved to Gersthofen near Augsburg in 1980 and entered the distribution of car trailers in 1981, from which it grew into one of Europe's leading trailer manufacturers. The HS range denotes tandem low-bed trailers for construction-machinery transport with a lowered loading platform, a loading width of around two metres and a shallow loading angle thanks to outboard wheels; type numbers such as 105020, 353016 or 894020 identify the individual model variant within the range.
