Eicher was a Bavarian agricultural machinery maker based in Forstern near Munich, and under the G range built small, manoeuvrable tractors for part-time farms, specialty crops and steep terrain. The Kombi G 160 and Muli G 13 represent two type lines within the G range: Kombi denoted combined use as a tug and implement carrier, Muli the even more compact, load-carrier-like versions for narrow paths and vineyards. Both carry single-cylinder diesel engines and mark the lower end of Eicher's model range.

As the smallest range in the Eicher line-up, the Kombi and Muli occupied the niche between a single-axle walking tractor and a standard tractor: light enough for hillside plots and orchards, yet fitted with a full three-point hydraulic linkage and PTO for mowers, trailers and tillers. They competed with comparable small tractors from Holder and Fendt of the same period, though they remained considerably rarer in the field.
When buying used, check the condition of the single-cylinder engine including cold-start behaviour and compression, rust on body panels and mudguards, the condition of the steering and front-axle bearings, and the tightness of the hydraulics and PTO. Spares come through specialist Eicher dealers and tractor clubs; new parts are no longer available from the maker.
