The Economy series gathers Eicher's standard tractors with four-digit 3000 numbers – the field tractors of the 1980s from Forstern near Munich, with which the maker kept a full range for the family farm alongside the narrow-track specialists of the 500 and 600 series. The type logic: the 30 stands for the series, the following digits roughly give the power class in hp – 3056 about 56 hp, 3088 about 88 hp, 3125 about 125 hp – S marks the standard version, AS and Allrad four-wheel drive. The range runs from the three-cylinder of 2,945 cm³ to the six-cylinder of 5,890 cm³; one register model is recorded with the Elsbett multi-fuel engine that runs on vegetable oil – an experiment of the 1980s in which Eicher took part as one of the few makers.
