The TBS Tracer Nano RX from Team BlackSheep (Singapore) is a low-latency receiver for 2.4 GHz in nano format, built for small FPV drones. Tracer is the 2.4 GHz system from TBS and, like Crossfire, speaks the CRSF protocol to the flight controller; it needs a Tracer transmitter module in the radio. The receiver works in the range 2400 to 2480 MHz.
It weighs 0.5 g and carries 12 channels. The manufacturer gives the latency as 3 ms end to end; that is a manufacturer figure for the whole system of transmitter and receiver, not for the receiver alone. It gives the range of 25 km (“15+ miles”) without saying whether under FCC or CE and without a condition; it describes a best case with clear line of sight and is not comparable with other systems. Supply voltage is 5 V.
In the EU the limit in the 2.4 GHz band without a licence is 100 mW EIRP; what counts for operation is the setting of the transmitter module, and antenna gain counts too. Equipment may be operated in the EU only in the approved frequency ranges and power levels. In the open category visual line of sight applies, and long ranges are no selection criterion there.
When choosing, remember that the receiver needs 5 V: it must be connected to a 5 V output of the flight controller, not directly to a battery. Tracer is a manufacturer-specific system that works only with matching TBS transmitter modules; anyone who owns ExpressLRS hardware cannot combine it. The firmware of transmitter and receiver has to match. At 0.5 g the solder pads and antenna connection are the wear points.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
