The BLAZE from Origin Robotics (Latvia) is a portable, radar-guided autonomous interceptor drone with AI image processing. It is listed as a military system and is intended for the armed forces of Latvia, Belgium and Estonia, with deliveries from 2025/26. The manufacturer names the military as the field of use; in 2026 Origin Robotics agreed a memorandum of understanding with Alpine Eagle on integrating the BLAZE into the Alpine Eagle Sentinel system.
The specifications stress readiness: the first launch takes under 5 minutes, each further one under 1 minute. That fits the portable design and changing sites. The drone flies autonomously; an operator can end the sortie with an abort command. A radar provides guidance, and image processing supports target lock.
As an interceptor the BLAZE belongs to the state sphere. According to the manufacturer, exports require a licence. Active intervention in a drone's flight, that is destroying, disabling or taking over, is permitted to designated state bodies in Poland under Art. 156ze of the Aviation Law (Dz.U. 2025 item 179). In Germany hazard prevention is in principle a matter for the federal and state police; the armed forces support under § 15a LuftSiG through administrative assistance. Jammers may be operated only by authorities in Germany (§ 91 TKG) and in Poland (Art. 42 of the Electronic Communications Law, Dz.U. 2024 item 1221). For private operators, only detection functions generally come into consideration in Germany and Poland.
For portable interceptors, shelf life and cycle count of the batteries, transport of the batteries as dangerous goods (for air travel the IATA limits of 100 and 160 Wh per battery apply), the condition of the airframe after transport and a functional check of radar guidance and image processing before launch count. The stock of interceptors sets how many launches are possible.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
