The Mejzlik 30x11 2B VTOL is a two-blade lift propeller made of prepreg composite by Mejzlik Propellers s.r.o. (Czech Republic) for VTOL aircraft. The designation gives diameter and pitch, 30 in and 11 in, and the blade count as 2B. Prepreg denotes pre-impregnated fibre layers that cure under heat and pressure. On VTOL aircraft with separate lift and cruise drives, the lift propellers carry hovering and transition flight.
The 11 in pitch is a good third of the diameter: a flat layout for thrust from standstill. The weight is 123 g with a tolerance of 5 per cent, and the propeller does not fold. The core diameter of the hub is 35 mm. The maximum speed of 6,000 rpm is, according to the datasheet, the hover limit, bounded by blade-tip speed; in forward flight the limit drops. The limit for forward speed is 30 m/s, and the operating temperature ranges from minus 20 to 110 degrees Celsius. The maximum thrust of 34.7 kgf is simulated.
The manufacturer names tests on the sample propeller: statics, overspeed, endurance run, centrifugal force and tip deflection. Legally the aircraft counts: a VTOL aircraft stays in the open category up to 25 kg take-off mass, where visual contact applies. Typical missions such as mapping and surveying over long distances lie beyond visual range and belong in the specific category with a risk assessment.
On selection: prepreg blades are stiff and light but sensitive after impacts; blade root, edges and hub are checked for cracks and delamination, visible as frayed edges and dull-sounding areas. Clockwise and counter-clockwise versions are fitted in pairs. Because lift propellers see strongly varying loads during transitions, signs of fatigue are judged more strictly than on standard multicopters.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
