The HOBBYWING XRotor 2306 Race Pro 1750KV is a 5-inch FPV motor for racing and freestyle with 12 slots and 14 poles (12N14P). Hobbywing is a Chinese maker of drives and speed controllers. At 27.5 g without cable the motor is among the light drives of its class; rotor diameter 27.9 mm, case length 17.5 mm.
The stator is 23 mm in diameter and 6 mm in height. At 1,750 KV the motor turns roughly 38,900 rpm unloaded on 6S (22.2 V nominal). Over 30 s the maker quotes 26.11 A and 626.64 W; 626.64 W at 26.11 A corresponds to a voltage of 24 V. The thrust of 1,831 g was measured with the Azure 5150-3 propeller at 24 V, which is 67 times the motor mass. Permitted cell counts are 5 to 6S, and propellers of 5 to 6 inches are recommended.
Time basis and test condition belong with each of these values: 626.64 W is a 30 s value, and 1,831 g holds for exactly this propeller at 24 V. On 5S the same motor gives less speed, less current and less thrust, and a different propeller shifts the result further. Motor, speed controller (ESC) and battery must tolerate the same cell count. For flying, the rules for the whole drone apply: the EU class depends on take-off mass, and operator registration falls due from 250 g or with a camera.
Racing motors are trimmed for low rotor mass, and robustness in impacts suffers: the light bell distorts more readily when it hits the ground and then rubs on the stator. After every hard crash the bell should be turned by hand: it must run freely and quietly. The bearings are the second wear point and the phase resistances the third. Equal resistance across all three phases speaks for an undamaged winding.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
