The HDZero Freestyle V2 VTX from Divimath (HDZero) is a digital FPV video transmitter for freestyle drones on 5.8 GHz with selectable output power up to 1,000 mW and 20 x 20 mm mounting. It works in the HDZero system, which requires transmitter and goggles to use the same protocol, and belongs to the small FPV class.
The picture is available in the modes 540p at 60 or 90 fps, 720p at 60 fps and 1080p at 30 fps; the top frame rate of 90 fps therefore applies only in the lowest resolution mode. The latency of 14.1 ms is the general HDZero figure from glass to glass, that is from camera to display, a best case for the system rather than a measurement on this transmitter. There are eight channels. The power steps are 25, 200, 500 and 1,000 mW according to the manufacturer's page; according to dealers, 1 W can be used only on channel R1 and only with a licence or permit. According to a dealer the transmitter weighs 22.3 g and runs on 7 to 25 V.
In the EU, 25 mW EIRP is allowed in the 5.8 GHz band without a licence. The 200, 500 and 1,000 mW steps can be used there only with the appropriate permit, for example by licensed radio amateurs in the ranges set aside for them. Anyone flying without a licence sets the 25 mW step; equipment may be operated in the EU only in the approved frequency ranges and power levels.
When choosing, the goggles must understand HDZero, because other digital systems are not compatible. Higher power heats the transmitter; without airflow on the ground the high steps should run only briefly. The antenna and its connector are the wear points in crashes and should be checked after hard impacts.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
