The Here4 Blue from CubePilot (Australia) is a combined unit for mid-size multicopters: a multiband GNSS receiver of the Here4 family with a built-in CubeID Bluetooth Remote ID broadcast. According to the manufacturer the Blue variant is built in the USA or in allied countries and is NDAA compliant. It is therefore aimed at operators who want GNSS and remote identification in one device.
The unit transmits over Bluetooth 5.2 using an nRF radio module on 2.4 GHz. A multiband GNSS receives signals on several frequency bands and can compensate ionospheric delay better than a single-band receiver; that improves position accuracy. Because receiver and Remote ID form one device, the identification has a GNSS receiver of its own without a second module being attached to the flight controller. FCC, CE, UKCA and RCM are named as certifications.
FAA compliance is named as the standard. For the EU a module must transmit to ASD-STAN EN 4709-002 and carry an EU declaration of conformity; FAA compliance alone is not enough. Direct remote identification applies to drones of classes C1, C2, C3, C5 and C6 and, in the specific category, since 01.01.2024; the module has to accept the operator registration number.
When choosing, mounting counts: a GNSS receiver belongs on the frame with a clear view of the sky and well away from sources of interference, often on a mast or bracket. The Bluetooth antenna sits in the same housing and benefits when the unit is exposed. If the receiver fails, the remote identification goes with it; after a replacement, check operator ID and parameters again.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
