The CUAV Pixhawk V6X V2 from China is the second revision of the manufacturer's FMUv6X implementation and belongs among the autopilots for mid-size multicopters. It is designed as a module with a baseboard and can be used with PX4 and ArduPilot.
The processor is an STM32H753IIK6 at 480 MHz with 2 MB flash. The three IMUs IIM-42652, BMI088 and ICM-45686 come from different chip families, which makes plausibility checks more robust; two barometers, BMP581 and ICP-20100, deliver altitude with a fallback. Compared with the first V6X revision, which used BMI088, ICM-20649 and ICM-42688-P and two ICP-20100, the sensor set and barometers were changed. Connections include 16 PWM, 2 CAN, 2 GPS, 3 telemetry, PPM/SBUS/DSM, 100 Mbit Ethernet, SPI, 2 USB and microSD. Power through the PMU 2 Lite module covers 12 to 70 V, the USB input 4.75 to 5.25 V. Dimensions are 45 × 85.1 × 29.2 mm and total weight is 97.9 g, of which 43.1 g are the core.
Anyone supplying US clients checks the origin of the flight controller against the NDAA procurement rules. In the EU the finished drone counts: Remote ID and geo-awareness are required for classes C1 to C3 and for C5 and C6.
When selecting, the revision matters: anyone carrying over parameters or accessories from the first version checks the sensor set. The wide voltage range through the PMU calls for suitable cable cross-sections and connectors. Wear shows at connectors and damping; after every modification the accelerometer and compass are calibrated and the firmware is brought to the current state for the chosen platform.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
