This page gathers the Dongfeng tractors the register could not assign to a named range – small and medium compacts built on the same DF chassis but sold under a wide range of names. Dongfeng Motor Corporation was formed in 1969 as the Second Automobile Works in Shiyan in China's Hubei province and is today one of China's largest vehicle and farm-machinery groups. The DF designation followed by a three-digit number gives roughly the power class – DF224 and DF254 sit around 20 to 25 hp, DF304 and DF354 around 30 to 35 hp, DF404 around 40 hp, DF504 and DF554 around 50 to 55 hp – the suffixes G, G2 and G3 mark different equipment stages. It is notable that a large share of the names in the register, such as Percheron, Stark, Talon, Buck, Devonn, Bemaq or Horse-Powered, do not come from Dongfeng itself but from European and North American importers and distributors who sell the same tractors under their own brand.
