Cub Cadet was launched in 1961 by International Harvester as a brand for garden and lawn tractors and sold to MTD Products of Ohio in 1981; the compact tractors listed here were built for MTD first by Mitsubishi in Japan and later by Daedong in South Korea (today known under the Kioti brand) as contract manufacturing.
