The Arion 600 is Claas's mid-range six-cylinder of 120 to 185 hp – introduced in 2007 as successor to the Ares 600 and built at the Le Mans plant, the former Renault tractor works that Claas took over in 2003. The type logic: Arion marks the mid-range (Axion the high-horsepower tractors, Nexos and Elios the small ranges), 600 the six-cylinder range (500 the four-cylinders), the last digit the power step – 610 about 120 hp to 650 about 185 hp – the suffixes Cis, Cebis and Cmatic the control and transmission version: Hexashift is the semi-powershift with six powershift steps, Cmatic the stepless transmission. The engine is the Deere Power Systems six-cylinder from Saran of 6.8 litres at 2,200 rpm, with common-rail injection and power boost; the front-axle and cab suspension and the Cebis control system come from the Axion.
