New Holland TD-D series (2000s) – the simple utility tractor from Ankara and New Delhi: TD 60 D to TD 95 D, the number as hp class, D as version of the range, A for four-wheel drive
The TD range is New Holland's tractor for farms looking for technology without electronics: a simple utility class based on the Fiat 66 and 86 ranges, built outside Western Europe – at Türk Traktör in Ankara, the CNH joint venture with Koç, and in New Delhi – and sold in Eastern Europe, Turkey, Africa and South Asia, in Western Europe as the price entry. The type logic: TD marks the range, the number the hp class – TD 60 about 60 hp, TD 75 75 hp, TD 95 about 95 hp – D the version of this generation by factory logic, A four-wheel drive; the successors are called TD5 and TD5.x. The engines are the Fiat 8000 series in its late form: the three-cylinder of 2.9 litres in the TD 60 and TD 70, the four-cylinder of 3.9 litres in the models from the TD 75 upward, at 2,500 rpm, with mechanical in-line injection pump.

The register lists 7 versions with 43.4 to 72.1 kW from three- and four-cylinders of 2,931 to 3,908 cm³, torque from 181 to 325 Nm, unladen weights from 2,566 to 3,165 kg, lengths from 3,630 to 4,192 mm, widths from 1,799 to 1,975 mm and heights from 2,472 to 2,652 mm.
The TD is one of the best-selling tractors of its class in Poland, Romania, Turkey and North Africa; its argument is repair-friendliness without a diagnostic tool.
On used tractors, operating hours, clutch and shuttle (Synchro Shuttle), four-wheel-drive clutch on A models, injection pump, hydraulics and sheet metal count; parts run through CNH and are widely available thanks to the 8000 series.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
- Check front and rear tyre sizes: mismatched pairs strain the drivetrain.
- Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
- Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
