Carraro Agricube 70 to F 100 – the specialist tractors from Rovigo: the number as hp class, V for vineyard, F for orchard, Iveco-FPT four-cylinders F5C and NEF, 53 to 75 kW, 72 to 100 hp

Carraro Agritalia of Rovigo in Veneto is the tractor builder of the Carraro group, which as an axle and transmission supplier serves half the farm-machinery industry – and which builds the specialist tractors for vineyard and orchard that Massey Ferguson, John Deere and Claas sell under their own names. The Agricube is Carraro's own brand of this class: a low, narrow tractor with equal or smaller front wheels whose type logic gives the hp class in the number – Agricube 70 about 72 hp, 80 about 80, 90 about 90, F 100 about 100 hp – V the vineyard version about one metre wide, F the orchard version (frutteto) with wider track and low bonnet. The engines come from Iveco and FPT: the four-cylinder F5C of 3.4 litres in most models, the NEF of 4.5 litres in the most powerful, at 2,200 to 2,300 rpm, with common-rail injection to emission stages III and IV.

The register lists 6 versions with 53 to 75 kW from Iveco and FPT four-cylinders.

Carraro is the hidden giant of the specialist tractor: Agricube technology sits in the MF 3600 and 3700, the John Deere 5G and the Claas Nexos that roll off the line in Rovigo; under its own name Carraro is represented above all in Italy.

On used tractors, operating hours, engine and common-rail injection, shuttle and powershift steps, four-wheel-drive clutch, steering and track width, PTO and hydraulics for sprayer and mulcher count; parts run through Carraro Agritalia and FPT.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
