The C series was the crawler-tractor programme of Agrifull, the Fiat subsidiary from Modena that sold specialist and compact tractors alongside the Fiat tractors from Turin in the 1980s – crawler tractors for vineyard, orchard and slope, as have carried the farming of Italy's hill and mountain regions since the 1930s, where the wheeled tractor slips in the dry and tips on the slope. The type logic: C stands for Cingolato, the crawler tractor, the number gives the hp class – C 60 about 60 hp, C-70 70 hp, the double numbers C 80-50 to C 80-70 the 80 range with 50 to 70 hp – Special an equipment variant, the 355-C the version with 55 hp and three-cylinder. The engines are Fiat's three- and four-cylinder diesels of 2.6 to 3.5 litres at 2,300 to 2,600 rpm; the machines are low, built at 1.07 to 1.33 metres high to pass under vine rows and fruit trees.
