The Yanmar TF-W Series brings together on this collective page three horizontal single-cylinder diesel engines: TF85WL, TF105WL and TF115WL. The TF range is among Yanmar's longest-lived designs and has been built largely unchanged for decades for stationary drives; the horizontal cylinder layout allows a low centre of gravity and simple mounting to pumps, generators or agricultural equipment.

The register lists here 3 versions: TF85WL, TF105WL and TF115WL. Output ranges from 6.3 to 8.5 kW (8.5 to 11.5 hp) at displacements of 493 to 638 cm³ and a rated speed of 2,400 rpm; all three are water-cooled naturally aspirated single-cylinder engines, dry weight lies between 93 and 107 kg.
Horizontal single-cylinder diesels such as the TF-W range are especially widespread across Asia and Africa as rugged, easily maintained drives for irrigation pumps, threshers and small boats, where long service life and local repairability matter more than high revs or smooth running.
When buying used, what counts on these horizontal single-cylinders is compression, the condition of the injector and injection pump, and the condition of the cooling fins; on engines long operated outdoors or in damp surroundings, it is also worth checking the crankcase for corrosion.
