Wico Other models

The register lists here 109 versions with unladen weights from 200 to 2,950 kg and gross weights from 1,000 to 3,500 kg; widths range from 1,490 to 2,550 mm. Lengths range from 3,230 to 9,970 mm.

With gross weights up to 3.5 tonnes, the Wico trailers fall into the EU vehicle class O2, the area of classic car trailers towable on an ordinary category B licence – a market segment with numerous smaller and mid-sized makers alongside the big brand names. Within class O2, an overrun brake is required from 750 kg gross weight upward; below that threshold (class O1) an unbraked trailer is sufficient, and towing is permitted on a category B licence.

On a trailer of this class, what counts is the condition of the tow hitch and overrun brake, axles and wheel bearings, rust on frame and floor, and a valid trailer inspection; since the maker cannot be identified more closely from the register, it is worth checking the chassis number and registration papers before buying.
