White 70 series

The register lists here 5 versions with 30.9 to 110.3 kW (41 to 150 hp) from three- to six-cylinder engines of 2,592 to 9,586 cm³, torque of 147 to 279 Nm and rated speeds of 1,800 to 2,400 rpm. Unladen weights range from 1,870 to 7,754 kg, length from 2,921 to 4,648 mm, width from 1,597 to 2,426 mm and height from 1,489 to 2,515 mm; two types run optionally on diesel/LPG, three on diesel alone.

With its wide span from compact to large tractor, White covered several market segments at once with a single range in the 1970s and 1980s, from the small mixed farm to large-scale arable operations. The diesel/LPG variants targeted operations relying on the liquid-petroleum-gas fuelling common in North America.

Buying used White 70-range models, the LPG variants call for checking the gas system and ignition equipment, the diesel engines the cooling system and injection pump, and the larger types the transmission and rear axle. As White Farm Equipment no longer exists, parts run through specialist dealers for Oliver and White tractors and, for the Fiat engines, through the Fiat parts network.
