With gross weights up to 45 tonnes, the VO1 STG range is among the heaviest semi-trailer types in the register and is built for carrying high payloads in European long-haul transport, of the kind typical on scheduled routes between major haulage hubs and distribution centres. The 21 to 45 tonne span covers both lighter versions for bulky, light goods and heavy builds for dense, compact loads, while lengths from just over 10.7 to more than 14 metres allow for different load carriers.

When buying used, check the condition of the chassis and side rails, the axles, braking system and air suspension, and the function of the landing legs and kingpin. On the heaviest versions it is also worth checking the tyre tread, brake linings and possible sag in the chassis, since these parts see the heaviest use at full load; corrosion on the cross members and the operation of the lighting system are also worth checking.
