Trailers of this type serve as box trailers for furniture and general cargo haulage or as curtainside trailers in general goods transport, with the span from the light to the medium-heavy class showing both smaller trade users and haulage firms as the target group. The box versions carry, depending on the model, barn doors, a roller shutter or a combination of both at the rear, which eases loading and unloading by forklift or by hand in different ways.

On used box trailers, the tightness of roof and doors and the condition of the interior and lashing rails count; on curtainside versions, the condition of curtain and roof bows; and on all versions, axles, brakes and drawbar; parts run through general commercial-trailer dealers. On curtainside versions, the tension and routing of the curtain cord are also worth checking, since repairing it can be time-consuming.
