With gross weights of up to 38,000 kg and lengths of up to 13,880 mm, the versions sit in the semi-trailer and heavy-trailer class used in road haulage behind tractor units or heavier truck tow vehicles. For operation in road haulage, besides the gross weight, axle loads and the tow vehicle's rating for the relevant fifth-wheel load are also decisive.

On a used example at this size, the condition of axles, brakes and air suspension, rust on frame and side rails along the full length, the state of the kingpin or drawbar eye and coupling, and tyres and rims all count in particular. Parts run through commercial-vehicle workshops and independent trailer operators. On versions with air suspension, the bellows and valves are also worth checking before the first drive.
