Trailers of this class are light general-purpose trailers for private owners and small businesses, open or enclosed, for transporting materials, equipment or small vehicles. The used market for such trailers is large and hard to overview across Europe, as many smaller manufacturers built similar designs in changing series over decades.

On a used example, the function of the overrun brake and handbrake, the condition of the axle and wheel bearings, rust on the frame and load floor, the condition of the sideboards or body and the lighting all count; spare parts run through the open trailer trade. Also worth checking are the coupling head, wheel chocks, tyre age and whether the chassis number matches the registration documents.
