Within the line-up of the Finnish maker from Suolahti, the second series of the Valtra N range sits a step above the compact A series and targets medium-sized arable and grassland farms. As with the A series, the model designation follows a simple logic: the number after the letter N approximates the engine output, as in the N82 and the stronger N92, both with a four-cylinder SISU engine.

The register lists 2 versions with 64.5 to 75 kW (88 to 101 hp) from four-cylinder engines of 4,400 cm³, an unladen weight of 4,700 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 8,000 kg, a length of 4,414 mm, a width of 2,277 mm and a height of 2,800 mm.
The N series was part of Valtra's core mid-range segment, and with four-wheel drive and strong hydraulics it covered the broad spectrum of mixed arable and livestock farms in Finland, Sweden and other export markets, sitting between the compact A series and the brand's larger, more powerful ranges, and it was correspondingly more often paired with front loaders and heavier attachments.
