UpRight Boom Lift: articulating and telescopic boom lifts from AB38W to SB85J with Deutz and Kubota engines, 22 to 60.4 kW, 2,570 to 19,119 kg weight
UpRight was a US manufacturer of mobile access platforms whose range is now continued under the Snorkel brand. This page gathers the self-propelled articulating and telescopic boom lifts: AB denotes the articulating boom, SB the straight telescopic boom, and MB the mast boom, while the suffixes 2WD, 4WD and RT mark drive and terrain capability. The lifts are powered by air-cooled Deutz engines of the F3L-2011 and F4L-2011 range and by Kubota diesels of the V1505 and V1505T type.

Boom lifts of this kind are used in construction, industrial maintenance and facade work for working heights scissor lifts cannot reach; UpRight ranked alongside Genie and JLG as an established brand of the segment before Snorkel took over the range.
For a used purchase, check the tightness of the boom and platform hydraulic cylinders, the condition of the wiring through the articulation joint, the function of the emergency lowering system, tyre condition, and the operating hours on the Deutz or Kubota engine; parts now run through Snorkel. On the older models no longer carried by Snorkel, it is also worth checking the availability of control boards, which can become a bottleneck on some model years.
