The register lists nine versions with six- to eight-cylinder engines displacing 5,499 to 17,173 cm³. Kerb weights range from 5,350 to 15,825 kg, gross vehicle weights from 7,499 to 22,700 kg, lengths from 5,200 to 7,900 mm and widths from 2,300 to 2,530 mm.

As part of the Fiat and later Iveco group, Unic operated in the French market alongside Berliet, Saviem and Renault, covering the medium- to heavy-duty segment for construction, long-haul and specialist transport with its ranges. The models gathered here mostly date from the middle decades of the company's history, before its full absorption into Iveco.

The frame and axle suspension deserve particular attention, since these chassis often worked in construction and heavy haulage. The engine, clutch and pneumatic brake system should be checked for wear and leaks, along with corrosion of the cab floor. Parts for the engine and drivetrain are partly still available through the Iveco network, while specific Unic body parts are usually only found through salvage or as reproductions.
