This page gathers the three-phase motors of the SWE range under the Toshiba brand that the Australian energy-efficiency register could not assign to a named range. Model designations follow the scheme SWE, followed by the IEC frame size and a code for length and pole count, for example SWE 200L1-2 or SWE 280M-4; Toshiba, as a Japanese electronics and industrial group, is also active in the industrial-motor segment, and manufacturing of the range listed here lies entirely in China according to the register entries.

The register lists here 40 versions with 7.5 to 180 kW, two- to six-pole, full-load efficiencies from 89.49 to 96.08% and at 75% load from 89.81 to 96.58%. Frame sizes run from 160 to 355, protection on all motors is the combination IP55, IP56 and IP66, and the mounting codes cover practically every installation position with B3, B5, B6, B7, B8, B35 and the vertical forms V1, V3, V5, V6 and V36. China alone is recorded as the manufacturing country. Testing uniformly followed the 2019 GEMS determination, with test method A; all 40 motors reach the 2005 High Efficiency Level, roughly equivalent to class IE2.
The SWE range, with frame sizes up to 355 and outputs up to 180 kW, covers the upper market segment of industrial motors, used chiefly in pumps, fans, compressors and heavy conveying plant; the consistent High Efficiency classification and the broad mounting variety point to a range tailored to the process industries and large-scale plant.
When buying used, what matters is bearing condition and a checked insulation resistance of the winding, the condition of shaft, key and fan cover, a legible nameplate with frame size, mounting form and efficiency class, and, on the numerous vertical versions, correct installation matching the intended mounting form; since every motor on this page carries the High Efficiency classification, inverter operation is generally possible but should be confirmed for the specific frame size.
