Trailers of this size serve in Dutch road traffic mainly for the commercial transport of machinery, vehicles and material behind vans and light lorries, but also as equipment carriers for landscaping and building firms; class O2 can be towed in the Netherlands on a category B licence as long as the combination does not exceed the permitted gross weight.
