This page gathers the Tjorven models the register could not assign to a named series: the KD 441 and the KVD 440-C. The Kalmar Tjorven was a light postal delivery van from the Swedish manufacturer Kalmar Verkstad, built between 1969 and 1971 on the basis of the DAF 33; the air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine of around 850 cm³ displacement recorded in the register for this model came from the Dutch DAF platform.

The register lists 2 versions here with two-cylinder engines of around 850 cm³ displacement, a kerb weight of 835 kg, gross vehicle weights from 1,360 to 1,370 kg and widths of 1,650 to 1,690 mm.
As a box-shaped delivery van with a low step-in height and good visibility, the Tjorven was tailored to postal delivery work, where drivers got in and out frequently and drove narrow city streets; the modest engine output and low kerb weight suited the constant stop-and-go running.
When buying used, check corrosion on the body and floor pan, the condition of the DAF boxer engine and the Variomatic continuously variable transmission where fitted, and the brakes and running gear on a vehicle of this age; parts are scarce and mostly found through collectors and specialists in Swedish commercial vehicles.
When the Tjorven was built between 1969 and 1971, today's EU vehicle class N1 did not yet exist; light delivery vans of this kind were then subject only to Swedish registration rules, not a Europe-wide weight class. The absence of a conventional clutch on the Variomatic version also made it especially easy to hand over between drivers during the postal service's shift work.
