The span of 3.5 to 7.5 tonnes gross weight crosses the threshold above which a trailer can no longer be towed on an ordinary category B car licence; the heavier version requires a category BE licence or higher. Registration also depends on the tow vehicle's own rated towing capacity.
On a used example, the condition of axles and brakes – on the heavier version especially the overrun brake or a service brake of its own –, rust on frame and side walls, lighting and plug, and tyres and rims all count. Parts for such small brands usually run through independent trailer workshops. On versions with an overrun brake, the adjustment of the brake linkage and the condition of the brake linings are also worth checking before the first drive.
