Steyr (SLT) 9100 series

The register lists here 5 versions with 114.1 to 147.2 kW from six-cylinders of 6,596 to 7,365 cc, unladen weights from 6,050 to 6,585 kg, lengths from 5,115 to 5,165 mm, widths from 2,395 to 2,450 mm and heights from 2,860 to 3,080 mm, torque from 643 to 830 Nm at a rated speed of 2,200 rpm. The engines run on either diesel or RME.

The 9100 range formed the big-tractor class in the Steyr programme of the 2000s, for large arable farms and heavy draft work with high power demand, above the mid-range ranges of the brand. In this class the 9100 range competed with the big six- and eight-cylinder tractors of other European makers of those years.

On these big six-cylinders, what counts is operating hours and service history of the engine, the condition of clutch, gearbox and four-wheel drive, the tightness of the hydraulics and lift, and on RME operation the fuel lines and filters; parts run through the CNH and Steyr network, as well as the condition of the tyres and the trailer hitch on these machines designed for heavy draft work.
