The SGX range from Steelwrist comprises sorting grabs for excavators, from the SGX6 to the SGX26. Steelwrist, a Swedish maker of quick couplers, tiltrotators and attachments for the construction industry, marks with the number in the type code roughly the excavator class in tonnes the respective grab is designed for. Sorting grabs consist of two jaws moved against each other by hydraulic cylinders, fitted with tines or grates that let material be separated by size rather than merely gripped.

The register lists here 5 versions with dead weights from 251 to 744 kg and load capacities from 3,000 to 10,000 kg.

Sorting grabs such as the SGX range are used in earthworks, demolition and recycling to sort stones, roots and building rubble by size on site rather than hauling the material away unseparated; the range thus covers the field from mini-excavators to upper mid-range mobile excavators. As a quick-coupler attachment, the SGX range fits Steelwrist's wider programme of tiltrotators and other grabs. Steelwrist develops its attachments chiefly for the Scandinavian and Central European market, where recycling operations place high demands on wear parts.

On used sorting grabs, the condition of the hydraulic cylinders and hoses, wear on tines and bearing pins, play in the slew bearing and compatibility with the existing quick coupler count; parts run through the Steelwrist network.
