The 1500 was offered in two fuel variants: an air-cooled petrol engine with one or two cylinders producing 10 or 12 hp, or a diesel engine producing 13 or 22 hp, at an engine speed of 3,000 rpm. At a height of 1,200 mm, a length of 3,685 mm, a width of 1,400 mm and a wheelbase of 1,700 mm, the transporter has an empty weight starting from 665 kg.
A design height of just 1,200 mm and a width of 1,400 mm mark a vehicle built for a low centre of gravity and a narrow track on tight mountain paths and steep slopes, rather than for work with wide implements on level fields. Transporters of this kind served mainly to haul goods, not to till the soil.
Buying a used mountain transporter this old, the first thing to establish is which of the two fuel variants and which cylinder count is actually fitted, since the paperwork can differ from the machine.
