The Leopard range in the register comprises the Leopard 85 EXPORT (DT) and the Leopard 90-TURBO (DT); both carry the DT suffix for Doppia Trazione, the four-wheel drive fitted as standard on these versions at SAME, and the TURBO name on the second model denotes the turbocharger. The range was built at the parent plant in Treviglio near Bergamo, home of the brand founded in 1942 by Francesco Cassani and today part of the SAME Deutz-Fahr group.
