Lamborghini/Hürlimann ASTER 60 (DT): four-wheel-drive compact three-cylinder tractor rated at 44.1 kW and 2,250 kg weight from the ASTER range
Lamborghini Trattori and Hürlimann were independent tractor brands that, alongside SAME and Deutz-Fahr, became part of the same corporate group and continued under their own names. The ASTER range occupied a compact power segment within it, aimed at smaller and mid-sized farms.

The ASTER 60 (DT) is powered by an air-and-oil-cooled three-cylinder engine of 3,000 cc, producing 44.1 kW (60 hp) at 2,500 rpm with 188 Nm of torque. The DT suffix, as usual with Italian manufacturers, stands for doppia trazione, meaning four-wheel drive. At a weight of 2,250 kg, a wheelbase of 2,115 mm and a width of 1,775 mm, the tractor reaches a design top speed of 30 km/h. The engine runs on diesel.
Air-and-oil cooling dispenses with a water-fed cooling circuit and was common on compact diesel engines of Italian design. A three-cylinder of this size with four-wheel drive marks a compact all-purpose tractor for grassland upkeep, orchard work and light drawbar tasks. The 30 km/h top speed falls within the L driving licence category, and the power take-off runs at the standard 540 rpm.
Buying a used compact tractor this old, the air-and-oil cooling and its fan deserve particular attention, as does the engagement of the front axle for four-wheel drive. Also worth checking are the sheet metal for rust damage, hydraulic tightness and tyre condition after decades of possible idle storage.
