The Agrotron 8280 TTV is powered by a water-cooled six-cylinder engine of 6,057 cc, producing 197 kW (268 hp) at 2,100 rpm with 1,226 Nm of torque. At a weight of 9,430 kg, a wheelbase of 2,918 mm and a width of 2,550 mm, the tractor reaches a design top speed of 40 km/h. The engine runs on diesel.
Torque above 1,200 Nm from six litres of displacement marks a high-output tractor for heavy tillage and drawbar work with large implements. The 40 km/h top speed requires the German T driving licence category, the power take-off runs at the standard 540 or 1,000 rpm, and the three-point hitch follows ISO 730, usually carrying category 2 or 3 implements.
Buying a used, powerful six-cylinder like this, the stepless transmission is worth a test drive under load, plus checking oil change intervals and the transmission electronics' fault memory. In addition, the cooling system, hydraulic tightness, PTO bearing condition and tyre condition given the tractor's weight of more than nine tonnes belong at inspection.
