The span from 3.5 to 18 tonnes gross weight covers two worlds at Robert: the light segment that can be towed on a category B driving licence, and the heavy class above 10 tonnes for multi-axle centre-axle or drawbar trailers used in commercial goods transport and road-train combinations. Lengths above 9 metres show that even the lighter versions are built for bulky loads.

When buying used, the check points depend heavily on the weight class: on the light versions the ball coupling, overrun brake and frame corrosion matter, on the heavy ones the axles, braking system and frame reinforcement under high load. In both classes, check tyre condition, lighting and the state of the load bed or body; spare parts come through the general commercial-vehicle and trailer accessories trade, with heavy axle assemblies usually easier to source than brand-specific fittings.
