Renault Agriculture of Le Mans built the Fruitier series as narrow-track tractors for orchard and vineyard work, able to run between tight rows of trees and vines. The series comprises the 70-14 F and 80-14 F models. Besides its narrow width, the range also featured a low build, allowing it to pass under low-hanging branches.

The register lists here 2 versions with 49.3 to 55.9 kW, or 67 to 80 hp, from a four-cylinder engine of 3,770 to 4,086 cm³, an unladen weight of 2,130 to 2,160 kg, a length of 3,498 mm, a width of 1,345 mm, a height of 2,393 mm, torque of 223 to 253 Nm and a rated speed of 2,350 rpm.
At just 1,345 mm wide, the Fruitier series was tailored to the narrow lanes of French orchards and vineyards, where standard-width tractors cannot be used. Outside France too, narrow-track tractors of this kind found buyers in southern European growing regions with similarly tight row spacing.
Buyers of used units should check the steering and steering knuckles for play, as well as the hydraulics and PTO, and the bodywork and radiator for damage from branches; spares run through the Claas dealer network, which took over support for the older Renault ranges. An inspection should also check the exhaust routing and guards for damage from branches. Given the narrow track, tyre and wheel-bearing wear should be checked with particular care.
