Porsche-Diesel was a German manufacturer of air-cooled farm tractors whose range extended from the single-cylinder Junior to larger multi-cylinder models. The Junior F109 was built between 1957 and 1960 and formed the smallest and lightest version of this range.

The air-cooled single-cylinder engine displaces 822 cm³ and delivers 10.2 kW at 2,250 rpm, equivalent to 14 horsepower. With a weight of 910 kg, a wheelbase of 1,838 mm and a top speed of 29.9 km/h that is high for a small tractor, the Junior was nimble and light yet powerful enough for fieldwork on smaller holdings.
The air-cooled design dispensed with a radiator, water pump and antifreeze, making it low-maintenance and immune to frost damage, though it required unobstructed cooling airflow driven by the flywheel fan. As the smallest model of an engine family built on a modular principle, the Junior shared its base cylinder with larger, multi-cylinder versions from the same maker.
When buying a used Porsche-Diesel Junior, the cooling airflow around the cylinder is the most important thing to check, since blocked or damaged air-guide panels lead to overheating. The condition of the injection pump and starting mechanism also deserve attention, as these parts are frequently worn on vehicles that are today usually more than sixty years old.
