With payloads of roughly 12 to over 30 tonnes, these versions are built for heavy freight transport and construction-site haulage, where multi-axle trailers behind trucks or tractor units allow a high load on a robust chassis. On the used market, such trailers often change hands several times before, after years in long-haul service, entering a second working life with smaller hauliers or in construction.

On a used trailer, the condition of chassis and side rails, axles and brake system, tow eye or kingpin depending on the design, the condition of tyres and lighting, and a complete inspection and registration history count, plus the underrun guard and access steps; spare parts for axles and brakes are available through the general commercial-vehicle parts trade.
