Ökonomierat Sieben Erben AL: collective page of farm tractors AL 3000 to AL 5000, two- and three-cylinder diesels, 22 to 37 kW
The AL range from manufacturer Ökonomierat Sieben Erben spans from the AL 3000 to the AL 5000 and is ordered in the register by model number from smallest to largest. Ökonomierat was a historical German honorary title awarded to distinguished farmers, which company founders carried in their firm's name; the addition Erben (heirs) points to the business being carried on by the following generation. As with many smaller German makers of that era, the precise company history has only survived in fragments.

The register lists 3 versions with 22 to 36.7 kW from two- and three-cylinder diesel engines of 1,490 to 2,820 cm³ and unladen weights of 1,065 to 1,310 kg, at a rated speed of 2,300 rpm.
Small to medium farm tractors in this power class handled basic work on farms such as ploughing, harrowing and driving simple implements, competing with the many smaller German tractor makers of the post-war decades who, alongside the big brands, courted the same regional customers.
On these older two- and three-cylinder diesels, buying used means checking the injection pump, cooling and pistons, the gearbox and clutch, and rust on sheet-metal parts, mudguards and the bonnet; spare parts for this small, long-discontinued make are now mainly available through specialists and the used-parts market.
