The Geotech 70 series comprises the large tractors 8670, 8770 A, 8870 A and 8970 A, whose register name likewise dates from New Holland's merger era in the 1990s. Like the smaller 60 series, all four models carry the same six-cylinder diesel engine with 7.5 litres of displacement, here in higher power steps; the rising type number from 8670 to 8970 denotes the position within the series.
