This range covers both the pickup and off-roader market, where the L200 and Pajero competed with the Toyota Hilux and Land Cruiser and the Nissan Navara and Patrol, and the light-truck segment of Canter chassis, used in urban distribution work and for bodies such as box conversions and tippers. Many examples from this list moved on to secondary markets outside Europe after years of use.

For a used example, on the L200 and Pajero check rust protection on the frame and wheel arches and the condition of the four-wheel drive and differential locks; on the Canter chassis check the clutch, brakes and body condition and the mileage of the diesel engine; parts come through the Mitsubishi dealer network.
