On a used semi-trailer, the condition of frame and main beams, the function of axles and brakes, the condition of the sides or tarpaulin, the tightness of the floor, and a complete test history all count; on the long chassis it is also worth inspecting for sag and cracked welds on the main beams. The condition of the rear underrun protection and the function of the landing legs should also be checked before buying.
