This page gathers the Mercedes-Benz T1, factory-designated TN (Transporter Neu), built from 1977 to 1995 at the Bremen plant and known by its place of production as the Bremen van. It replaced the older Düsseldorf van and, as chassis, panel van, combi and flatbed, formed the basis for trades, commerce and motorhome conversions. The type designation follows the Mercedes scheme for commercial vehicles: the first digits assign the van to a weight class, TN 207 and TN 208 to the lightest class around 2.8 tonnes, TN 407 to TN 412 to the heavier class up to 4.6 tonnes gross weight.

The T1 was the brand's most-built van for eighteen years and, with its modular construction, laid the foundation for Bremen's lasting importance as a Mercedes-Benz van plant; it competed with the Ford Transit and VW LT.
