Mercedes-Benz MB trac turbo 900 (series 440.169): turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 63 kW, built from 1982 to 1987, top speed 30 km/h.
With the MB trac turbo 900, Mercedes-Benz offered a smaller, four-cylinder version of the system tractor between 1982 and 1987, built at its Gaggenau plant. Like the larger MB-trac models, it follows the concept of equal-sized wheels front and rear with a rotating driver's seat for working front- and rear-mounted implements.

The water-cooled four-cylinder engine displaces 3,784 cm³ and produces 85 hp (63 kW) at 2,400 rpm with 294 Nm of torque. At an unladen weight of 4,080 kg and a wheelbase of 2,400 mm, the tractor's design top speed is 30 km/h. At 4,150 mm long, 2,140 mm wide and 2,820 mm high, it counts among the more compact MB-trac models.
Turbocharging raises the four-cylinder's output and torque over unblown versions of the same size, making the compact MB trac turbo 900 a fully-fledged system tractor for smaller operations with tighter yard space as well. As on the Unimog, portal axles and standard four-wheel drive provide high ground clearance; the tractor is registered under the T licence class.
When buying a used example, check the tubular frame, where rust tends to start at the implement mounting points. On the turbocharger, check boost pressure and oil supply; on the hydraulics, check the fittings for leaks. The seat's rotation mechanism and lock should move freely. Drivetrain and axle parts are usually still available through Unimog spares suppliers.
